Antifoamer – Defoamer
Organo-silicone materials are excellent anti-foam and defoam agents in the paper finishing process. Anti-foam silicones help de-airing and the drainage of air pockets during the pulp washing and paper washing process.
Both organic and silicone antifoams are subjected to harsh conditions of pH and temperature. But while silicone antifoams are generally made with polydimethylsiloxane, silicone polyethers and compounded with hydrophobized silica, silicone anti-foams are used at very low levels and formulated as self-dispersible concentrates. This helps pitch deposits that are commonly encountered with other anti-foams.
|TAF 100||These are antifoams that are specially designed for a wide variety of aqueous foaming systems. These include ink and paint manufacture (water based), latex processing, waste water treatment, soaps and detergents manufacture, paper processing, metal working fluids, etc. (TAF 200, SMTE, LDF 300, DEFOAM All 001 are also available)||download||download|
|DPAF 243||An effective defoamer, it can be easily formulated into cost-effective antifoams of desired concentrations. It can also be used as an effective antifoam in water-based industrial processing media in which pH and temperature fluctuations are high.||download||download|
|TCP 01||A highly stable silicone antifoam, this product works best at pH 13. It is alkali stable. Hence it finds applications during pulp digestion and pulp processing conditions. It is required in very low dosages and gives very high efficacy.
Dosage: Recommended dosage is 50 ppm
